Kevin Trudeau "Infomercial Man"

__

Kevin Trudeau may be best summed up in one word -- Crook! This despite what Howard Stern thinks of him. Stern calls Trudeau "a great thinker." [Remember, we're talking about Howard Stern here not Albert Einstein.] Trudeau, the health infomercial guru, snake oil salesman par excellence and self-proclaimed "consumer advocate" has developed and hosted numerous radio and television infomercials covering a wide range of quack products and services. He also served 21 months in prison during the early 1990s, after pleading guilty to two counts of credit card fraud (after being charged with using "unauthorized access devices" to defraud American Express out of $122,735.68) before a federal district court in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Trudeau was released in August of 1993 and placed on two years probation.

Do you recall Trudeau's Mega Memory System? You forgot about it already? I guess it didn't work as well as advertised, that is, guaranteed to work for you. Oh well, let's travel down Mega Memory Lane for a minute. Trudeau claimed that scientific studies of his Mega Memory System showed that it could help anyone achieve a photographic memory, even people with learning disabilities or low IQ's. His breakthrough techniques were developed while working with blind and mentally handicapped students and get this their recall ability increased from 15 to 90% in just 5 days. Amazing!

Trudeau is now promoting his "eagerly awaited" new book "More Natural Cures Revealed," advertised as the uncensored follow up to his New York Times Best Seller "Natural Cures -- They Don't Want You to Know About."

Just think we can all look forward to more nonsense about why we are sick and how organizations like the American Medical Association (AMA), the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) are suppressing information about "natural" remedies and cures for virtually every disease. A book to satisfy the conspiracy nuts out there along with the more gullible among us!

According to Trudeau's Natural Cures website buy his book and you will learn about the unholy alliance between federal agencies, such as the FDA, FTC and the pharmaceutical industry and how they are working together to suppress the truth about natural healing. "It's all about money. The drug industry does not want people to get healthy" claims Trudeau. Of course, you would expect this kind of rhetoric from a man who champions so many false and unsubstantiated claims concerning health.

But wait. There's more!

You can sign up for only $9.95 per month or try his lifetime membership for only $499. Of course, this may not be such a bargain considering what the word "lifetime" means to a fly-by-night company like Trudeau's. Lest we forget there's no honor among thieves.

This article is right on the money about Trudeau as indicated by the following excerpt: "A source in the direct-response industry who asked not to be named estimated that Trudeau is spending a million dollars a week on national cable and could also be spending another half a million on broadcast channels. The source suggested that Trudeau's return from that investment would be about $2 million to $4 million a week. "He's got the formula down and he knows how to trick people," says the source. "And he's got enough money to do it. The FTC can't stop him because the amount they fine him is nothing compared to what he takes in."
